Selecting a program for Preschool & Kindergarten Boulder County is a pivotal step in your child’s educational journey. At Treehouse Learning, we have earned a reputation for providing the highest quality early education since our establishment in 1997. Our program is an independent, privately owned, and family-run early childhood education center serving the Louisville and Lafayette area of East Boulder County.

We offer a high-quality, child-directed, play-based, nature-inspired experiential education that is comprehensive, holistic, and purposeful. Our ultimate goal is the integrated development of the whole child—fostering their physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.

Focused on the Kindergarten Experience

Our kindergarten program is designed to cultivate a lifelong love of learning through play-based experiences6. We understand that optimal learning occurs in small class sizes, which is why ours are kept small to support individualized learning.

The Treehouse Learning Kindergarten program includes:

  • Hands-on learning and academic instruction.
  • Chef-prepared meals and snacks.
  • Before and after care.
  • Embedded enrichment specials.

This complete offering ensures that families receive a premium, comprehensive education at a competitive rate.

Preschool: A Foundation for Thriving

Our preschool programs use a play-based, whole-child approach supported by skilled educators who understand child development. The curriculum engages children with both academics and arts—music, fine arts, and movement—using hands-on learning.

We partner with families to build a lifelong foundation for thriving children at an affordable price. As part of this commitment, we offer Universal Preschool (UPK) for eligible preschool children. For the 2023-2024 Academic Year, we offer 15 hours a week of free, high-quality preschool to eligible children who are enrolled full-time in their year before Kindergarten.

Academic and Philosophical Excellence

The foundation of our curriculum is a synthesis of educational traditions, including Montessori and Reggio Emilia. Our educators are trained to facilitate learning, concentration, and social development. We ensure that when children leave our program, they are distinguished by strong academic and social skills, love of learning, curiosity, and personal confidence.

Our facility, located on 1.25 acres in the Indian Peaks neighborhood of Lafayette at 95th and Baseline, provides the ideal setting. The building was specifically designed with children in mind, featuring generous large natural grass playgrounds and abundant natural light in the center common room
